Bliss Former for Bag-in-Box style cases, such as for institutional size sauce boxes.

Pearson’s 2-Piece Bliss Former is ideally suited for liquid bag-in-box applications. Sturdy, double-layer bottom boxes provide high stacking strength and reduce the risk of product damage commonly caused by internal corrugate flanges. With speeds up to 30 CPM, combined with its rugged construction, the BF30-2PB is field-proven for 24/7 applications.

Dual gravity fed magazines ensure that each case component is accurately presented for pick off. To establish consistent glue compression and case squareness, the active forming section impacts the glue lines as opposed to rubbing over it.

For high-speed operations, an optional high-capacity Automatic Stack Transfer System is available. Advanced features such as high-visibility machine status lighting, non-contact interlocks, CAT-3 Safety Circuits and an easily accessible grace port are standard on the machine.

User Centric Design

User centric design is about making the interaction with our machines as intuitive as possible. We want to reduce the learning curve for operators and maintenance technicians, make it easy to interpret data from the machine into actionable information, minimize the margin for human errors and make set up, changeover and fault recovery a faster and more seamless process resulting in improved up time and equipment availability.

Popular Upgrade Options

Air-Conditioner

Air conditioning provides cooling when ambient temperature becomes too hot or the contents of the electrical enclosure generate heat that risk failure to components.

Custom Case Range

This option allows cases outside of the machines standard capabilities to be run. Specific adjustments require engineering review to determine limitations and potential performance trade-offs such as machine speed or larger machine footprint.

High Capacity Stack Transfer System

The extended feed system replenishes the primary material hoppers. As it nears depletion, the conveyor is activated and a stack of die cut corrugate is deposited into the primary hopper. Body wrap stack transfer systems can double or triple overall material capacity, while H-divider stack transfer magazines can more than quadruple the standard machine capacity.

High-Capacity Adhesive Feeder

Adhesive fill systems monitor and maintain proper adhesive levels in hot melt glue system tanks. The sealed melter and auto-feed systems relieve machine operators from continuously refilling the tank.

Low Temperature Environment

Electrical enclosures located in cold and humid environments maintain better performance and longevity with the addition of this heater and drier package.

Plant Level Ethernet Connection

A Network Address Translation device allows specific Ethernet network configurations across multiple machines in the plant network and offers the ability for remote support through VPN connections.

What is the lead time? When does it start?

Standard lead time is 17-19 weeks. Standard lead times do not account for non-standard options. These are estimates, your confirmed lead time will be provided once the project is being scheduled with project management. You may also request a specific date, which we’ll confirm before you place the order. Lead times start when the PO is accepted.

What HMI is standard?

Pearson standardizes on Allen Bradley, PanelView1000+. Our user-centric interface is built on the Rockwell platform and cannot be applied to other HMI brands.

What configuration options exist?

The above list of upgrade options only covers our most popular items intended to enhance the performance of your machine. Our configuration and customization options are extensive. To determine any necessary or desired modifications to the base machine, we review and consult with you on your individual application.

What information do I need to provide for a quote?

If a quick, high-level budgetary quote is all you need, we are happy to provide you with the base machine rate. However, the more information you provide us about your particular application, the more accurately we can quote you. It also enables us to identify potential challenges and discuss how we can overcome them. If you are interested in a detailed quote, expect our sales managers to discuss the following questions with you.

  • Case rates
  • Case Style (RSC, HSC, Bliss, FOL, etc..)
  • Case dimensions (LxWxD, Open Depth and KDW, Drawings are preferred)
  • Tape or glue closure
  • Construction type (mild steel, stainless steel, stainless with NEMA4X low-pressure washdown)
  • Environment of room where equipment will be placed – Hot, cold, wet, temp
  • Duty cycle (ie. 3 shifts per day 5 days per week)
  • Voltage requirement
  • Product inside the cases (pictures preferred)
  • Estimated full case weight
  • Wish list for upgrade options
  • Special requirements
  • Are there specifications that need to be reviewed?

What can I expect after I request a quote?

If all you need is a high-level budgetary quote, we will provide you base-level machine pricing immediately. If you are looking for a more detailed quote, we will reach out to you within 24 business hours to discuss your application and collect all the necessary information. Once we collected the information, expect a detailed quote within 2-4 business days (unless your application requires non-standard options). For a firm quote, we generally like to review a sample of your case(s)/partitions/bags. This greatly reduces the risk of missing any potential obstacles and ensures that you receive not only the most accurate quote but also a high-performing machine. If your request requires a specifications response, please allow 7-10 working days for a quote turnaround.

Why do you need case samples for a firm quote? What if I don't have any?

Case samples allow us to help you avoid unforeseen challenges, determine the need for special options or recommend a different machine model better suited for your application. In nearly 65% of all projects, case sample reviews prevent costly mistakes, inferior performance and extended lead times. Here is a small sample of unwanted problems case reviews uncovered and averted:

  • Samples did not match drawings, which drove a change to the proposal
  • Unidentified shied flaps
  • Case hand was not identified on drawings or different
  • Product fit too tight or too loose into the case
  • The case’s manufacturer’s joint location or style interfered with the product being loaded
  • Corrugate quality issues interfering with proper machine performance
  • Bag thickness/construction/size did not match the requirements
  • Flap folding sequences/glue patterns requiring special attention
  • Head space in cases requiring special options or over pack interfering with proper sealing

Although we’d like to review case samples before we provide a firm quote, we understand that this is not always possible. In that case, we will provide a quote based on the information and drawings you provided.

What are the limitations of low-pressure washdown?

Low-pressure washdown is limited to 4.3 psi at a distance of 10 feet. It does not protect against direct hard spray or the use of caustic fluids.
