Bliss Former

BF40

The Pearson BF40 Bliss Former forms a wide variety of sturdy shipper and display-ready three-piece bliss box designs at rates up to 40 cases per minute using field proven technologies in controls, pneumatics, vacuum systems, and motion. The BF40 is optimal for smaller case ranges to achieve high rates. For high-speed operations an optional high-capacity Automatic Stack Transfer System is available. Advanced features such as high-visibility machine status lighting, non-contact interlocks, CAT-3 Safety Circuits and an easily accessible grace port are standard on the machine.

Key Features

  • Proper Positioning of Blanks

Gravity fed magazine ensures that each blank is in proper position for picking without having to worry about proper angles and placement of boards.

  • Reliable Infeed

Powered end-panel magazine with following paddle ensures that each end-panel is accuratly presented for pick off by controling the pressure between the end-panels and the restraining clip.

  • Reliable Glue Compression and Square Cases

The active forming section ensures consistent glue compression by impacting the gluelines as opposed to squeegee/smeared

  • Small Footprint

Vertical case forming eliminates having to reposition the orientation of the box for introduction onto the customer’s conveyor resulting in a smaller footprint of the machine.

  • Toolless Changeover Supported by User-Centric HMI

Changeovers are supported by the industry’s most advanced HMI with an uncluttered design, intuitive navigation, interactive changeover and fault-recovery guides, live sensor maps, and advanced maintenance features. Scales, pointers and quick release handles ensure additional tools are not necessary. A trained technician can complete a changeover in under 45min.

  • Highly Reliable Non-Contact Interlocks

Eliminates misalignment of guard door interlocks which prevents problems common to keyed interlocks.

  • High-Visibility Machine Status

A standard four-light LED beacon and multi-color interior machine lighting provides high-visibility of machine status.

  • Safety Redundancy with CAT 3

Dual channel safety circuit maintains integrity of safety features in case of single component failure.

  • Easily Accessible Grace Port

Grace ports provide convenient communication access and 110V convenience outlet at the outside of the machine’s electrical cabinet.

  • Convenient Dual Access to the Machine

A remote operator station enables machine control on both sides of the conveyor.

Upgrade Options

Air Condition

Air conditioning provides cooling when ambient temperature is becomes too hot or the contents of the electrical enclosure generate heat that risk failure to components.

Custom Case Range

This option allows cases outside of the machines standard capabilities to be run. Specific adjustments require engineering review to determine limitations and potential performance trade-offs such as machine speed or larger machine footprint.

High Capacity Stack Transfer System

The extended feed system replenishes the primary material hoppers. As it nears depletion, the conveyor is activated and a stack of die cut corrugate is deposited into the primary hopper. Body wrap stack transfer systems can double or triple overall material capacity, while H-divider stack transfer magazines can more than quadruple the standard machine capacity.

High-Capacity Adhesive Feeder

Adhesive fill systems monitor and maintain proper adhesive levels in hot melt glue system tanks. The sealed melter and auto-feed systems relieve machine operators from continuously refilling the tank.

Low Temperature Environment

Electrical enclosures located in cold and humid environments maintain better performance and longevity with the addition of this heater and drier package.

Plant Level Ethernet Connection

A Network Address Translation device allows specific Ethernet network configurations across multiple machines in the plant network and offers the ability for remote support through VPN connections.

Remote Access Router

A remote access router mounted in the electrical cabinet allows secure Internet VPN connection to a machine or system for support and control program change needs. This capability is included with every Pearson engineered system and as an option on all individual machines. Remote service access offers the potential to reduce on-site service trips. Internet connectivity is available via direct Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular methods.

What is the lead time? When does it start?

Standard lead time is 16-18 weeks. Standard lead times do not account for non-standard options. These are estimates, your confirmed lead time will be provided once the project is being scheduled with project management. You may also request a specific date, which we’ll confirm before you place the order. Lead times start when the PO is accepted.
