Top Load Carton & Case Packing
With a variety of equipment on display, demonstrations will feature carton and case packing applications using articulated arm and delta robot technologies, customized end-of-arm tooling, and vision and line tracking.
Pearson’s preferred carton forming and sealing solutions specialist, Keymac Packaging Systems, will also be exhibiting their complimentary tray sleeving equipment. Representatives from both companies will be onsite to meet with show attendees.
Systems Solutions Group
Led by Vice President Ryan McCart, Pearson’s Systems Solutions Group has taken on multiple projects since its formation in late 2015. The dedicated team focuses on providing turnkey solutions which may include the design and construction of custom layouts, material handling and electrical/control system support, project and site management, and overseeing installation, validation and acceptance procedures.
“We’re receiving more and more requests for fully-integrated, complex systems in this industry,” says McCart. “Increasingly, our customers want to work with an OEM who has expert machine knowledge that can also integrate third-party equipment and make everything work together seamlessly. That’s our goal – to be a one-stop-shop for our customers. User Centric Design 3.0
The latest version of Pearson’s User Centric Design program will be available beginning January 1, 2017. Three years since the program was first developed, it has evolved into a comprehensive, fluid initiative aimed at making human-machine interactions as intuitive and efficient as possible.
Extensive testing and user feedback has shown that UCD features – now standard on Pearson equipment – have reduced the learning curve and usability barriers for improved operator training, and faster machine setup, changeover, and fault recovery times. The built-in preventive maintenance program includes clean/lubricate/inspect procedures and a detailed activity log.
The latest advancements include simplified troubleshooting with the addition of Output Testing, which enables manual operation of individual machine functions including cylinders and vacuum systems. This capability allows maintenance technicians to exercise specific sections of the machine to quickly resolve component issues. By proactively identifying areas requiring maintenance work, technicians can significantly reduce the risk of operational delays.
