Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified)

Location: Spokane, WA

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to manage the overall success of core machinery, custom machinery, and aftermarket sales, ensuring deliverables are on-time, within scope, and within budget, to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project through it’s lifecycle, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion
  • Work closely with customers to elicit and refine requirements in order to create the Order Specification Document (OSD) and reviewing it with appropriate Pearson personnel
  • Develop a detailed project plan with phase gating, as well as a risk register with an appropriate mitigation plan early in the lifecycle of the project
  • Maintain a strong relationship with customers from purchase order through commissioning
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with customers and Pearson executive management team
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors by coaching, motivating, mentoring, and influencing them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, reporting and escalating to executive management as needed
  • Ensure all project information is appropriately documented, shared, and secured
  • Conduct project post mortems and recommendation reports to identify best practices and lessons learned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university + PMP certification and/or ongoing PMP education required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of project methodologies
  • Innate capability to create order out of chaos in a fast-paced, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to manage concurrent projects, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to executive and business audiences
  • Demonstrated desire to do whatever it takes to get things done
