Location: Spokane, WA
Description
The Manufacturing Specialist fabricates, reworks, modifies, and re-engineers parts as needed for final assembly. Work will be performed utilizing mills, lathes, and welders, and with or without formal drawings from Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing support for Operations and Service group
- Fabricate, modify, and re-engineer parts as needed for final assembly
- Provide welding support for the Assembly group
- Provide quick-turnaround fabrication support for service parts
- Provide machine shop support for plant maintenance
- Communicate defects and coordinate with fabrication suppliers
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including operating shop floor computers
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Metal shop experience, plus at least four years of machine shop experience
- Ability to operate mills and lathes
- Advanced welding skills
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully organize and complete tasks in a time-sensitive environment
