Product Manager

Location: Spokane, WA


The Product Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and controlling activities specific to assigned product line(s), from conceptual stages through complete product life cycle. The goal is to optimize profit for new sales, service and to meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.


  • Establish product line direction and strategy for existing products in assigned product line(s), while focusing on new product development, strategic partnerships, and new market development/positioning strategies for the product line. Complete product life cycle management including future enhancements and product revisions, cost reductions and end of life responsibilities.
  • Develop, execute and maintain product and product family business plans including revenue and margin tracking, cost reductions, forecasting, market positioning, competitive analysis, product segment, size/share/growth and market analysis; responsible for creation of detailed product design/specifications for all products to be developed
  • Set strategic product line direction through effective product development planning and the identification of strategic new target markets through an ongoing assessment of current products, pricing and position, competitor product trends, and evolving market needs
  • Initiate and prioritize development projects for new products and service offerings within engineering and monitor product development and milestones through project engineering. Provide guidance, direction and other assistance to operations and design teams to ensure that products and iterations are released to market “on time”, meet objectives, provide benefits required, and employ the best technologies
  • Responsible for forecasts for new products, and is expected to be a product information specialist for assigned products

  • Demonstrated ability to provide sound judgment and the ability to lead and organize cross-functional meetings, committees and people in a professional manner.
  • Aggressive, persuasive and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a technically related field, or equivalent
  • Minimum five years product management experience or equivalent background
