Project Coordinator

Description

Pearson is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to carry out administrative duties supporting the Project Management team. The qualified individual will work under the direction of Project Managers to ensure simultaneous projects are completed on time and within budget throughout the project lifecycle, from customer engagement through installation and final customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support overall project success through entire project lifecycle, under the direction of a Project Manager
  • Coordinate and host cross-functional project status reviews that may involve Project Management, Assembly, Engineering, Procurement, and Leadership stakeholders, recording action items as necessary
  • Assist in project change execution of scope, schedule, costs and communicate to project stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation ensuring all project information is appropriately documented, shared, and secured
  • Employ problem-solving and multitasking to coordinate multiple projects and aspects in a fast-paced and challenging work environment and communicating all the issues and risks of the project
  • Update professional and semi-technical documents for context, accuracy of information, and financial details
  • Work with various project team members and customers to develop or communicate time lines, create schedules, and oversee progress
  • Understand and organize project information and artifacts such as budget spreadsheets, schedules, contracts, financial files, reports, and invoices
  • Perform administrative duties such as ordering office supplies, bookkeeping, and billing

Qualifications

  • Solid organizational skills including the ability to track and report on multiple projects, phases, and issues with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills that are professional and adaptive serving internal, external, and executive needs
  • Innate capability to create order out of chaos in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Capability to support Project Managers and customers on their own terms and timelines, as needed
  • Ability to adapt to changing tools and processes as part of internal continuous improvement activities
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated desire to do whatever it takes to get things done
  • Two years administrative coordination or clerical experience or equivalent background, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred; degree in a technical field a plus
  • Advanced data entry and analytical skills
  • Computer skills including proficiency using Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM/ERP tools
  • Familiarity with project methodologies preferred
  • Demonstrated customer relations skills and risk mitigation
