New loading module combines vertical and horizontal packing abilities in one machine

Pearson Packaging Systems announces the launch of its new Horizontal/Vertical Module (HV) to meet the growing market demand for flexible pack patterns and product orientations on a single secondary packaging line.

As the growth of flexible packaging surpasses the industry’s overall growth rate by almost five times and the number of retailers requiring shelf-ready packaging continues to rise, high-volume manufacturers must adapt their packaging processes. While pouches, bags and other flexible containers are integral to sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives, a lack of standardization and varying requirements from different end customers mandate a high degree of flexibility.

Pearson’s HV module is specifically designed to allow for easy adjustments from traditional horizontal pack patterns to vertical, stand-up patterns often associated with shelf-ready packaging. High-speed loading capabilities of up to 180 products vertically and 300 products horizontally as well as tool-free changeovers and easy access to load cells for size adjustments maximize uptime and line output.
