Supply Chain Manager - Spokane, WA


Currently seeking a highly dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee Pearson's supply chain, improve company operations and maximize profitability. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a clear understanding of supply chain process flow and enterprise processes. Additionally, s/he must showcase the ability to implement process changes across the supply chain and achieve operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control global purchasing and materials management of approximately $50,000,000 annually
  • Manage third-party OEMs to meet timing requirements for product delivery
  • Manage RFQ and RFP processes to identify cost-saving and value-add solutions
  • Identify multiple suppliers/providers and negotiate contracts with the goal of developing/strengthening long-term relationships, improving operations and maximizing profitability
  • Develop key performance metrics and analyze data for process improvement recommendations
  • Manage aftermarket parts inventory
  • Manage supply chain and inventory personnel to meet or exceed performance metrics


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field--APICS/SPIM certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' Procurement/Supply Chain Management experience
  • Proven understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • ERP experience needed--Epicor ERP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional meetings and manage conflict
  • Excellent personnel management skills to hire, train, and retain a motivated workforce
  • Innate capability to create order out of chaos in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and maintain key relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superior oral, verbal and written communication skills
