Project Implementation Manager

Description

Manage the Pearson Integrated Systems' operational functions and positions throughout the project life-cycle to achieve overall success and ensure integrated packaging systems are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and to the customer's satisfaction. This position reports to the Vice President of Pearson Integrated Systems and manages Project Management and Engineering roles within Pearson Integrated Systems. This position is based in either Spokane, WA or Ashland, VA and is expected to have 50% travel.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Serve as principle executive contact for the client, Pearson executive management and internal/external resources
  • Anticipate, monitor and identify project delivery risks and create appropriate mitigation plans
  • Direct and approve the execution of scope, schedule, or cost changes necessary for project completion, including ETCs (estimated time to completion) and variance reporting
  • Manage, report and validate project budgets (material, labor, travel and contingency costs)
  • Provide pre-sales support, including development of preliminary project build, install, startup, and commissioning schedules
  • Manage bids from mechanical/electrical contractors as needed to support project quotations
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to implement standards and enhancements
  • Develop an approved sub-contractor list and preferred supplier list
  • Support Project Management in the creation of a comprehensive Order Acknowledgement Letter that clearly defines project scope, equipment, integration services, costs and qualifications--review and approve for each project

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree or equivalent experience (experience in an Engineering field a plus)
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial automation/system integration
  • 3+ years' supervisory experience
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to provide sound judgment and organize and lead cross-functional meetings in a professional manner
  • Ability to work on concurrent complex technology projects with solid attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Develop successful professional relationships with peers and key stakeholders
  • Able to communicate, written and verbal, clearly and effectively to executive and business audiences
  • Basic AutoCAD proficiency
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
