Program Manager

Description

The Program Manager will combine technical, project management, and design skills to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering the best HMI (Human Machine Interface) and customer experience within the User Centric Design team.  Essential responsibilities include:

  • Governance - working with the over-arching structure, processes and procedures to accomplish objectives, including defining metrics of success and deliverables.
  • Alignment - top-down vision, goals and objectives from business strategy flowing through to successful completion of program objectives.
  • Technical Assurance - checks and balances for compliance with technical standards while meeting business objectives.
  • Management - regular reviews for accountability and successful management of project, employees, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Integration of components for best fit for program success. This includes specification writing and collaboration with Product Management and adherence to established product requirements and management of project scope.
  • Optimization of performance across program platforms to achieve the best functional and technical value.
  • Cost tracking program component costs with overall program administration costs.
  • Infrastructure - office, version control, and IT, to include resource allocation for successful completion of program objectives.
  • Planning - developing the plan to orchestrate projects, resources, timescales, monitoring and control.
  • Improvement - ongoing performance assessment, research and development of new capabilities, and systematically applying knowledge for program success.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS/MBA in a engineering or related discipline or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Prior Machine Design or Controls Engineering a plus
  • Extensive experience working with web development and back-end databases, or hardware/consumer electronics
