Bilingual Project Manager

Description

The Bilingual Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Working with the customer to elicit or refine requirements in order to write the Order Specification Document (OSD) for an unambiguous description of the core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket sale’s technical requirements. The OSD must be reviewed with the appropriate Pearson personnel, to ensure endorsement of the core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket sales purchased.
  • Managing the overall success of the project by ensuring that core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket sales are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget by developing a detailed project plan with phase gating to monitor and track the project schedule, cost, and scope throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Successfully managing the relationship with the customer from purchase order through core machinery or aftermarket sales commissioning. Conducting regular project status meetings with your customers.
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects by coaching, motivating, mentoring, and supervising project team members and third parties/vendors, and influencing them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Establishing a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project. Report on the project for executive management and sponsors. Proactively identifying and resolving issues. Managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs and making adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Reporting and escalating to executive management as needed.
  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring a risk register to ensure risks are highlighted early with the project and creating an appropriate mitigation plan to address the risk.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Ensuring all project information is appropriately documented, shared, and secured. Conducting project postmortems and creating recommendation reports in order to identify best practices and lessons learned. 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a related field from an Accredited University
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required
  • PMP certification/education/training is a plus.
