Aftermarket Department Manager

Description

The Aftermarket Department Manager will support the VP of Aftermarket Sales & Service in achieving revenue targets and leading the aftermarket sales managers and parts team to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and managing procedures and policies governing aftermarket opportunities and customer correspondence
  • Establishing competitive, margin-driving parts and aftermarket pricing using creative initiatives and market value data (with direction from the VP of Aftermarket Sales & Service)
  • Defining and implementing document processes, procedures and tools to provide management the ability to proactively view and measure sales funnels and quotas, parts revenue, gross margins, proactive call tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
  • Developing and maintaining customer pricing agreements for key accounts
  • Managing ERP system parts costing and expedite/handling fees for parts orders
  • Providing a consistent focus on departmental cross training and feedback, offering guidance in difficult customer situations and following up with customers on all emergency orders and issues
  • Collaborating with the service team on parts sales opportunity and audit processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in sales management and customer relations
  • 2D and 3D CAD reading and interpretation
  • Experience developing and managing parts pricing models
  • Extensive experience with CRM, ERP and Microsoft Office programs
  • Appropriate, clear and service-centric communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully set direction and expectations and appropriately lead a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of departments and team members at all levels with a tactful, professional, energetic and positive approach
  • Ability to creatively resolve internal and external customer issues
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on goal orientation
  • Packaging, automation or manufacturing experience preferred
